HOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS PANEER AT HOME?

Paneer is one such special dish that is prepared on special occasions like festivals or guest arrivals. You can prepare it on random days but it will lose its specialty if eaten on normal days.

There are different ways in which you can cook your paneer like matar paneer, shahi paneer (a personal favorite), Palak Paneer, and normal paneer(which is cooked like a normal "sabji"). I am no Sanjeev Kapoor but, at my house I am the chef when it comes to preparing a lip-smacking paneer dish with my personal touch added to it.

HOW TO COOK PANEER IN MY STYLE?

INGREDIENTS INVOLVED

  • Oil whichever one you prefer.
  • Dry fruits -cashew and almonds only.
  • Dried curry leaves and hing.
  • Lots of onions, garlic, and chilies.
  • 3-4 tomatoes.
  • Cream or Milk will also do.
  • Spices- red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, shahi paneer masala, garam masala, green chutney (that comes in a bottle ready-made), and most importantly pizza sauce (it adds a great aroma to it).
  • Paneer.

How to cook everything?

  • First, take a good amount of oil in a dish. Let the oil heat.
  • Then add some dry curry leaves, and dry fruits. Roast them properly.
  • Then add garlic and chili.
  • Then chopped onions ( cut them into big pieces). Fry them properly.
  • Then add tomatoes.

NOTE - Fine chopping of onions and tomatoes is not required.

  • Once all the ingredients are cooked, also do not overcook or undercook them. Sprinkle all the spices according to the amount of paneer you want to make and the masala that you have prepared so far.
  • Mix everything properly.
  • Switch off the flame and add the milk or cream. Let everything cool down.
  • Once the masala has cooled down, grind everything and make a thick paste out of it.
  • Cut paneer into fine pieces.
  • Pour some water into your thick paste and boil it. Then add all the pieces of paneer to the paste.
  • Let it cook for some time.
                                                       And your paneer is ready!
